Description:

Dodh Seviyan is a creamy, comforting Pakistani dessert that blends soft vermicelli with rich milk and natural sweetness from Stevital. Famous during Eid, Flavored with aromatic cardamom and garnished with nuts, it’s a lighter, refined-sugar-free version of the traditional favorite. Perfect for cozy evenings, festive occasions, or as a wholesome after-meal treat, this dessert delivers all the classic flavors without the sugar crash.

Ingredients:

  • 400 g seviyan (vermicelli)
  • 4 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 cups full-cream milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 Stevital spoons (provided in the jar, adjust to taste)
  • 7–9 almonds or mixed nuts, chopped

Directions:

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add the cinnamon stick and cardamom powder, sautéing until aromatic.
  2. Add the seviyan and lightly roast for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in water and milk, then add Stevital. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook on medium-low heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the seviyan is soft and the milk slightly thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped almonds or nuts.
  6. Serve warm or chilled as desired.
